Retention and deletion

The principle

We keep as little as possible, for only as long as it serves you. Most of what we hold stays until you delete your account, and you can remove it sooner. When you delete, it is a real deletion, not a hidden flag.

What we keep, and for how long

• Account and profile. Kept until you delete your account.
• Saved results and your readiness signal. Kept until you delete your account. You can export them anytime.
• Green card flag. Kept only while the consent is active. Revoke the consent and the stored value is removed; it is also removed when you delete your account.
• Consent records. Kept while your account exists, as the record of what you agreed to and when. Removed when you delete your account.
• Referrals. A referral you send is kept while it is active with a recruiter, so they can follow up. It is removed when you delete your account.
• Reminders and device tokens. Kept until you turn off reminders or delete your account.

How deletion works

Deleting your account is a hard deletion with a full cascade. Your profile, saved results, readiness signal, consents, mentor bookings, and referrals (with their handoff history) are all removed together. We do not keep soft-delete tombstones that hold your personal data. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes your data from the live service right away; routine encrypted backups roll off on a short cycle.

How to delete or export

• Delete your account, or download a copy of everything we hold, from account settings.
• Remove a single permission (for example, the green card flag) in your consent center.
• Correct any detail in your profile.

The green card flag, specifically

This is the one sensitive field we store. It is written only with your consent, encrypted at rest, and every read is access-logged. Revoke the consent and the value is removed. We never store your green card number or any document.
